List of essential belongings for a comfortable stay

Since TGS is a huge venue to walk around, it is important to prepare in advance. Check this list carefully to make sure you don’t forget anything!

Essential item: Never forget this one!

  • TICKETS: You cannot start without them. If you have an electronic ticket, be sure to charge your smart phone.
  • Smartphone and mobile battery: Essential for gathering information at the venue, posting on SNS, and keeping in touch with friends. Remember to bring a high-capacity mobile battery, as the battery is easily drained by prolonged use.
  • Cash (also coins): Some booths at some venues do not support cashless payment. Cash is especially useful for smaller booths and merchandise sales.
  • ID: You may be asked to show this when trying out age-restricted games.
  • Beverages and snacks: The venue is crowded and concession stands are likely to have lines of people waiting in line. It is recommended to prepare drinks in advance to prevent heat stroke.

Comfort-enhancing items: There is a big difference between having them and not having them!

  • Eco-Bags: Useful for holding pamphlets distributed at each booth and other goods purchased. Multiple bags are useful to distribute the weight.
  • Writing utensils (pens and notepads): Useful for writing down your impressions of the games you tried and any information you are interested in.
  • Clear files: Keep important pamphlets and handouts in place without folding them.
  • Masks: Masks are recommended for indoor events where many people gather to protect against infectious diseases.
  • Sweat wipes/hand towels: These are useful for comfort, as it is easy to sweat when walking around for long periods of time.
